Vice President Advisor – responsible for the IT domain.
The objective of this position is to coordinate and oversee the activities of the Information Technology Department (ITD), ensuring the alignment of IT strategies with the bank’s short- and long-term objectives, as well as the development and implementation of strategic and operational IT plans, managing associated risks, and ensuring an efficient and secure technological environment.
Responsibilities:
Define and execute the bank’s IT strategies and the operational plans of the IT Department (ITD) to support the bank's short- and long-term objectives.
Ensure strategic alignment and coherence between IT functions and the bank’s overall objectives.
Assist the Vice President responsible for IT and Operations (COO) in the development of bank policies regarding IT activities, aiming to improve performance, control risks, and optimize costs and efficiency.
Develop and establish IT operational policies, ensuring their alignment with the bank's general objectives and policies.
Adapt internal normative documents and IT procedures to comply with industry requirements and regulations.
Define the strategic IT plan, the bank's information system architecture, and the directions for IT development.
Ensure the continuity of IT systems and services, including the implementation of technological transformation solutions.
Manage IT transformation and successfully implement IT projects, including the procurement and development of IT applications and infrastructure.
Identify and develop IT managers to support the transformation and innovation process.
Oversee compliance with security standards and best practices in the development and implementation of new applications, as well as in the use of existing ones.
Analyze operational risks and inform the COO about events or potential risks that may affect the bank's activities.
Participate in investigating information security incidents and take appropriate measures to prevent future risks.
Manage IT team performance, evaluate it, and set individual performance objectives.
Ensure necessary training and align the team with the bank’s performance objectives.
Conduct the evaluation, proposal, and monitoring of the ITD budget, aligning expenses with the bank's development strategy.
Periodically report on the execution of activity plans and necessary adjustments to improve results.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are an advantage.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial position.
Ability to manage technical teams and motivate subordinates to improve performance.
Advanced knowledge of IT architectures, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise solutions.
Ability to analyze risks and make informed decisions to support the development and sustainability of IT.
Excellent communication skills in both Romanian and English.
Experience in managing budgets and aligning them with the bank’s strategies.
