Commercial Director (Top-Manager, FMCG), Moldova (Chișinău)

Our client, one of the leading meat product manufacturers in the Republic of Moldova, is expanding its team and is currently looking for a Commercial Director. The company has held a strong market position for many years, successfully developing its own brand and expanding its chain of proprietary retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop the company’s proprietary retail network across the Republic of Moldova;
  • Design and implement an effective commercial strategy for retail expansion;
  • Drive market growth and identify new business opportunities;
  • Optimize operational costs within the commercial function;
  • Expand the product assortment by identifying new categories, managing imported goods, and sourcing new suppliers;
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial partnerships and agreements;
  • Work across both Traditional Trade and Modern Trade channels;
  • Analyze the market, competition, and customer needs, and implement innovative solutions to enhance the company’s competitiveness;
  • Build and lead an effective commercial team.
Candidate Profile:
  • Relevant experience in retail, food distribution, or FMCG;
  • Deep understanding of both traditional and modern sales channels;
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills;
  • Strategic thinking and strong results orientation;
  • Previous experience with food assortments is a strong advantage;
  • Advanced proficiency in Romanian, Russian, and English.
