Our client, a dynamically growing international retail chain with 1700+ stores in Ukraine and over 50 in Romania, is entering the Bulgarian market and is looking for an experienced and motivated: HR Specialist in Bulgaria (Varna)
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to become the first HR professional for a fast-growing international company in Bulgaria. The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in building the HR system from scratch, managing both recruitment and HR administration, and supporting the company’s expansion in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment – manage the full cycle for both office and retail roles: job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
Contracts & Documentation – draft and maintain employment contracts, job descriptions, and HR files in line with Bulgarian labor law.
HR Administration – oversee working hours, vacations, sick leave, and employee records.
HR Policies & Procedures – develop and implement internal policies (code of conduct, vacation rules, disciplinary procedures, etc.).
Culture & Communication – support company culture and maintain effective internal communication.
Payroll Collaboration – coordinate with payroll/outsourcing partners for salaries, contributions, and HR-related payments.
Compliance – ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and labor legislation.
Reporting – prepare and submit mandatory reports to Bulgarian authorities (tax, social security, etc.).
Candidate ProfileYou are the right fit if you have:
3–5 years of experience as an HR Specialist / HR Generalist, ideally in retail or FMCG.
Strong expertise in end-to-end recruitment, including mass hiring for retail roles.
Proven experience with employment contracts, HR documentation, and job descriptions.
Practical knowledge of implementing HR policies and procedures.
Confident skills in HR analytics, Excel, and reporting.
Fluency in Bulgarian and English (knowledge of Russian or Romanian is an advantage).
Proactive approach, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with employees and management.
