Head of Export , Chișinau

Our client is a company operating in the FMCG sector, with a stable presence on the local market and a diversified product portfolio. The company is currently looking for a Head of Export Department who will develop and coordinate export activities, manage relationships with international partners, and contribute to expanding the company’s presence in external markets.


Responsibilities:
  • Developing the strategy for expansion into external markets (EU, CIS, Asia, other regions);
  • Identifying and prioritizing high-potential markets;
  • Defining market entry models (exclusive distributor, multi-distribution, modern retail, etc.);
  • Strategic brand positioning for each market;
  • Building and managing the international distributor network;
  • Coordinating new product launches for export markets;
  • Adapting marketing strategies to the cultural and competitive specifics of each region;
  • Creating and implementing pricing policies for external markets;
  • Analyzing margins, taxes, logistics, and cost structure;
  • Monitoring profitability by region and optimizing the portfolio;
  • Leading and developing the Export team;
  • Setting KPIs and monitoring performance;
  • Representing the company at exhibitions and major international negotiations.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in similar roles within the FMCG industry;
  • Experience in opening and developing international markets, brand management, and creating commercial and pricing policies;
  • Experience in complex international B2B negotiations;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in export or international sales;
  • Advanced knowledge of English and Russian (Romanian would be an advantage);
  • Ability to build markets from scratch;
  • Practical understanding of Incoterms and international trade mechanisms;
  • Strategic thinking and results-oriented mindset.
