Buying Director (Relocation to Almaty, Kazakhstan)
Our client is one of the leaders in fashion retail in Ukraine and Kazakhstan, offering clothing, footwear, and accessories from globally renowned brands. The company is currently seeking a Buying Director who is ready to relocate to the vibrant and dynamic city of Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Responsibilities:
  • Defining the overall procurement strategy in alignment with the company’s business goals;
  • Forming the procurement budget based on sales forecasts and analysis of previous periods;
  • Developing the product assortment matrix (categories, price segments, seasonality);
  • Managing and optimizing the assortment;
  • Analyzing trends, assessing sales potential, and making procurement decisions;
  • Controlling deliveries, ensuring compliance with contract terms and deadlines;
  • Optimizing stock levels and adjusting procurement during the season;
  • Distributing products across stores;
  • Monitoring profitability and pricing policy;
  • Developing and overseeing discount policies (markdowns, seasonal discounts, promotional campaigns);
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape to ensure pricing competitiveness;
  • Evaluating sales performance and forecasting based on historical data and market trends;
  • Controlling key KPIs: inventory turnover, stock levels, stock-to-sales ratio;
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to align collection promotion strategies;
  • Ensuring balance between e-commerce and offline stores to maintain a unified strategy;
  • Coordinating the procurement department and integrating it into overall business processes;
  • Utilizing analytical tools and automated systems for sales forecasting.

Requirements:
  • Higher education (preferably in Economics or Marketing);
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in assortment management, sales analysis, and pricing policy formation;
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the fashion industry;
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data;
  • High level of responsibility and independence;
  • Creative approach and result-oriented mindset;
  • English language proficiency at an upper-intermediate level or higher.
